It’s time to continue my search for useful junk as I explore the world of cheap Android accessories. In this episode of Off-brand Android, I review a USB Endoscope.
A long 6.5 foot cable is used to host the tiny camera at the tip. Many endoscope cams will have a light at the tip so you can see better in dark places like pipes or drains. The particular one that I reviewed did not feature any lights. The camera quality is pretty poor, so in dark environments a light would have been very beneficial.
Several different tips will come with your endoscope package, allowing you to use hooks, magnets and mirrors. The purpose of this is for recovery missions for keys in the drain or something similar. You can use the magnet to latch on to your dog’s collar and pull them out of a well.
The endoscope definitely serves a purpose and I have no doubt I’ll come across a situation where I need to use mine in the future.
The USB endoscope will vary in price a bit, but you can find one on amazon for around $14-$20.
