Every month, millions of users stop by the world famous XDA-Developers forums to ask questions, post news, discuss new updates, or share their work whether it be themes, apps, custom ROMS, kernels, and more. Today, we are adding forums for the newly announced Huawei P20, Huawei P20 Pro, and Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S so potential owners of these devices will have a place they can discuss their new phone.
The Huawei P20 and P20 Pro were announced earlier today in Paris, France. Both devices have display notches, the HiSilicon Kirin 970, and run Android 8.1 Oreo with EMUI 8.1, but the similarities end there. The P20 has a 5.8″ FHD+ LCD panel while the P20 Pro has a 6.1″ FHD+ OLED panel. The biggest difference, though, is the camera setup: the P20 Pro has an insane triple-camera setup with a 40MP main camera, whereas the P20 has a dual-camera setup.
Then there’s the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S, launched earlier today in China. It has a 5.99″ FHD+ LCD panel (without a display notch) and is largely an incremental upgrade over the Mi Mix 2. The biggest difference is, again, in the camera. There’s also wireless charging for the first time in a Xiaomi phone as well as support for Google’s ARCore for augmented reality apps.
