The term “fake news” has become a common phrase over here in the United States over the last couple of years and it’s started to make people question which news articles can be trusted. It’s been reported that more than two-thirds of adults in the United States get their news from Facebook, and many don’t know the difference between what is real and what is propaganda. Google recently released a revamped version of Google News that curated trusted news sources with Machine Learning algorithms. Today, Microsoft has announced their take on the idea with Microsoft News and its new design with AI suggestions.
If you have used the Microsoft News application in the past then you’ll want to keep your eye out for the new update. Not only does it come with a completely redesigned user interface, but they are also taking a cue from Google and using artificial intelligence to suggest content they think will interest you. As with most application updates in the Play Store, you may not see the update waiting for you as of writing this. If that is the case, then be sure to grab the APK directly from here so you can update it manually.
The Microsoft News application has a team of editors who curate content from the most trusted news sources around. You’re able to choose which topics are of interest to you and you can even have breaking news brought to your attention with a quick notification. It even has a dark theme. Download the app from the Play Store below.
