Fortnite Mobile on Android is a long-awaited upcoming release of an already massively popular game. Since launching on Apple iOS, users of Android smartphones and tablets have been wondering when Fortnite would launch on their devices too. The Android release has apparently been delayed as we recently reported that it will be launching as an exclusive with the Samsung Galaxy Note 9. This exclusivity will supposedly last 30 days. After 30 days, Fortnite Mobile on Android will become available for all supported Android devices. If you’re wondering if your device will be supported, we’ve got the list of supported Android devices taken straight from Epic Games’ own website (you have to view the page’s source code to find the device list).
Fortnite Mobile on Android will support about 40 devices at launch. These devices include the latest Google Pixel phones, Huawei, LG, Samsung, and more phones. What these devices have in common is that they are all powerful enough to run the game. The reason the list is so short is likely because Epic Games is continuously testing and optimizing the game for each Android device before allowing the device to run the game. Android smartphones not included in the list like the Essential Phone, first-generation Google Pixel phones, LG G7 ThinQ, Sony Xperia XZ2, Nokia 7.1 Plus, and more should be more than able to run Fortnite Mobile on Android once they’re white-listed by Epic Games.
Judging by the phones already on the list, the minimum specifications for Fortnite Mobile on Android seem to be having a CPU on par with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430, MediaTek MT6737, Exynos 7870, or HiSilicon Kirin 655 for the CPU; Adreno 505 and Mali-T720 for the GPU; and 3GBs of RAM. If your device matches or exceeds these specifications, it should be able to run Fortnite Mobile when Epic Games whitelists it.

Fortnite Mobile on Android Release Date
All of the aforementioned Android smartphones will support Fortnite Mobile on Android if Epic Games’ website is to be believed. According to our own source, the game will launch on the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 on August 9th with the phone releasing on August 24th. According to 9to5Google, it will become available about 30 days afterward on September 23rd. If you pre-order the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 you will receive $100-$150 worth of V-Bucks for free. V-Bucks can be used to purchase in-game skins, dances, the battle pass, gliders, and pickaxes. These are all cosmetic and provide no in-game advantage.
Fortnite Mobile on Android is coming soon. With a player base of over 125 million players, the battle royale game that’s sweeping the landscape will get a huge boost from Android support. Even though the list of supported Android devices currently only includes 40 phones, it is very likely that more phones will be supported before and after the launch date, so don’t worry if your device isn’t on the list yet.
