Mobvoi is the ex-Googler founded company that makes accessories like speakers and watches. They got backed by Google in 2015 and they’ve had a good partnership through Wear OS (formerly Android Wear) and Google Assistant ever since. Their two previous smartwatches, the TicWatch S and TicWatch E, were praised by the community as both of them rocked a stylish design and an affordable price tag. Today, the company released yet another smartwatch, but it’s no longer a mid-ranger.
The TicWatch Pro is a premium smartwatch running Wear OS and powered by the latest internals available for Android watches. You can see the full spec sheet below:

What’s interesting is that the device has a layered display. It contains two layers of displays: one AMOLED and one LCD. The 1.39-inch 400 x400 resolution AMOLED screen is used for doing all the stuff that smartwatches do: chat, make calls, use apps, be always connected, etc. The LCD screen sits on top of that and it contains only the essential features like a clock, heart rate, and steps. This helps the device to stay awake for up to 30 days on a single charge in “Essential” mode. “Smart” mode lasts about 2-5 days. Obviously, the more you use Essential mode the longer your battery life will be.
TicWatch Pro also comes with an IP68 rating, which means dust and waterproofing. The device’s MSRP is $249 and you can buy it from Amazon right now as a Prime exclusive until August 15. After that, it will be available to all users, but exclusively on Amazon until September 30th. You can also buy the smartwatch from the official website of Mobvoi.
